cost effective lovely breakfast
Very good quality facilities and friendly staff at a very good price
I liked the chalet type accommodation and the amount and choice of the continental breakfast. The free parking was a boon too.
The lack of late night reception. There was nobody about to challenge and curtail very rowdy revellers.
the room was very comfy plenty of hot water everything u needed for a short break
could do with updateing
Cheap special rate
Poor choice of tv chanels
tv didnt have many channels
The staff were very friendly and the food was great. The rooms were fun and chalet like
Unclean bedding e.g Blood
Helpful service at reseption.
Carparking spaces on a slope.
The breakfast was fine, but at the price I paid for the room, it should have not been an additional £8.50 each. The room was like someone's converted garage and smelled strange. Insect trap was left under desk Had one single socket in room; totally inadequate.
Expensive. Very noisy - close to main road and little noise insulation. Small Cramped rooms. Expensive breakfast. Weak shower. Room next to laundry that seemed to go all night. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Having stayed here before, I was happy to book a room for an overnight stay whilst visiting elderly relatives. As before, it was a very pleasant experience...Clean,comfortable with friendly staff.
Breakfast was advertised at 7am in the room but was actually at 8am. I did bring that to the attention of the staff. In the evening I met with freinds in the bar area, and was told we couldn't order alcohol. Then I was told that, as a paying guest at the hotel, that I could have purchased drinks for them. The other thing, that may save you a law suit, was that the bath tub was very high, with no anti-slip protection in the bottom of the tub, and I did actually slip whilst getting out of the tub. Luckily with nothing more than a sprained wrist. I would have mentioned it at the time, but as breakfast was an hour later than I had allowed for, I had to rush off.
No doormat, it was raining when I arrived and there was no means of wiping my shoes on entering the room. Mould above the curtains. Net curtain did not fit properly. Edging trim missing on furniture, causing rough edges which caught clothing. Very noisy. Walkways noisy to walk on despite matting. Could hear everything going on in the adjoining room. Looked tatty and unkempt. Mirrors dirty and smeary. TV smeary and messy. Obviously had not been cleaned for ages. No extractor in the bathroom. Basically, really cheap and nasty. Fortunately I paid a budget price. I would certainly never pay the full price for something so awful.
It was clean and offered basic facilities for overnight stays.
Very old, dated style. Quite run-down looking. Noisy-boilers/cleaners/sound really carries. Didnt offer the breakfast paid for in deal, as they said the room needed to have been booked at least 5 days in advance in order for breakfast to be included. It did not say that when we booked. It clearly said that breakfast was included.
I ddi not like the fact that after a 6 hour journey I was checked into a room that smelt like I dog had been in there. I was too tired to change rooms and had to endure that smell as I rested for the evening and when I awoke the following morning. I was given another room but I feel that I should be refunded for the first nights stay.
